Hotels in Warsaw
Warsaw is the capital of Poland and has a population of about 2 million
people. Almost nothing is left of the city's original architecture
because it was practically razed to the ground during the World War II
bombardments. After the war, Warsaw's many historical streets, buildings
and churches were rebuilt under the communist rule.
The centre of Warsaw is the Palace of Culture and Science (Pa¿ac
Kultury i Nauki). Two major cross streets are Marsza¿kowska
Street and Jerozolimskie Boulevard. The old town district is at the
northern end of Krakowskie Przedmiescie Street.
Restaurants and night life
Today, new restaurants and bars are popping up all over Warsaw, and they
offer a wide selection of dishes and cuisines. You will find anything
from good Italian restaurants to modern fusion restaurants!
The economic upswing has made many well-known brand stores open branches
in Warsaw, and you will find many international brands in the Warsaw
shopping centres. There is a wide selection of reasonably priced fashion
clothes at shopping centres as well as in the charming high street
shops, and tourists and business travellers alike shop away happily.
