How do I pay?

Many hotels do not require credit card payment for online reservations. Consequently, you will not need to use your credit card nor to pay online at all when booking a room at one of these hotels. Instead, you will be charged when you arrive at the hotel. Other hotels require credit card validation for online bookings. This means that you have to state your credit card number when you book online. Usually, the information is only used for validation and for no-show charges (the hotel will charge you the amount corresponding to a one-night stay if you have not cancelled your stay and yet do not show up). Some hotels use credit card information for actual pre-payment when booking online. The Hotel.dk payment page will clearly state whether your credit card information will be used to withdraw money from your account or purely for validation. To find out what credit cards a hotel accepts, look under general information at the hotel details page. If there are no credit card icons listed, it means that the hotel may be booked without the use of a credit card.

Do I get a confirmation for my hotel reservation?

When you book a hotel room at Hotel.dk, an online confirmation will appear at the end of the booking process. What if I want to cancel my hotel reservation?

The time limit on cancellations is stated on your email confirmation. You can only cancel your reservation within this time limit. The time limit on cancellations may vary from hotel to hotel and from room to room. Your email confirmation includes a booking number and an access code as well as a link to a cancellation page. To cancel your reservation, click on the cancellation link and enter your booking number and access code. You can then cancel your reservation.
A small number of hotel rooms – usually special offers – cannot be cancelled. This will be clearly stated on the payment page during the booking process.

Whom should I contact if I want to make a complaint about a hotel?

We recommend that you contact the reception as soon as you notice a defect, a deficiency or the like, so the staff will get the chance to remedy the situation as soon as possible.
All complaints about defects or deficiencies during a hotel stay should be reported directly to the hotel in question.
If the hotel is a member of HORESTA and a complaint to the hotel does not result in a satisfactory solution, a complaint may be made to the HORESTA Board of Appeal. The complaint has to be submitted to the Board of Appeal in the shape of a particular complaints form, which may be obtained at the secretariat of the Board of Appeal or on their website www.hrt-ankenaevn.dk
